Q. My mac is second hand, will I still be covered with your Apple Care protection plan? My computer is over a year old, can I still use this protection plan?
A. If your computer is still under its original 1 year warranty you can extend your cover with protection plans for an additional 2 years. If you are unsure, obtain the computer serial number then contact Apple direct on: 0800 0391010 they will be able to tell you whether your mac is still under warranty. As a general rule if you purchased your computer over a year ago you cannot extend your cover with this plan.
Q. I purchased my mac elsewhere in Europe, will your Apple Care protection plan still cover me?
A. Yes. This AppleCare Protection Plan is valid for all machines purchased in the UK, Europe, and the US.
Q. The Panther upgrade disk supplied states that it is part of a hardware bundle, can I still use it?
A. As detailed by our suppliers, this software was originally used internally by Apple for sale with hardware, at that time Apple had retail software on the shelves, this label was used to distinguish the two. The software you have purchased is rare and has now been discontinued. The label has no real purpose and no longer applies. You can use the disk so long as your computer matches the required specifications. The product is unavailable in any other format, this is the only remaining panther to tiger upgrade route on the market and there will be no further pressing of this product.
Q. Does the order include VAT? Can I have a VAT invoice?
A. All products and postage are inclusive of VAT.
Q. Why is 1st class recorded and special delivery not available for my item?
A. These postal services are only available for products weighing less than 1kg. If these postal options are not displayed it is because your item weighs over 1kg and therefore is more costly to post than these service rates. Rest assured all of our p&p charges are realistic and fair.
Q. How do I know whether my computer meets the recommended hardware/system requirements?
A. For apple software, if you are unsure of whether your computer matches the designated specs, it is simple to find out. Click on the small apple symbol in the top left hand corner of your machine. Select "about this mac": here it will tell you the 4 key aspects of your computer specification: operating system (ie 10.5.1), PROCESSOR (speed and type), MEMORY (RAM). If your computer does not meet the required specifications, you can contact Apple direct on 0800 0391010 to see what your upgrade options are.
Q. I have found a product that matches / beats Appealing Computers quoted price how can I qualify for your price match promise?
A. We first need to verify that the product is identical to the one we are selling, ie latest Full retail, brand new boxed, not oem or academically priced version.
